What bridal updo & trial involves
Bridal hair has one requirement that ordinary styling doesn't: it has to survive twelve hours, a veil going in and coming out, photographs from every angle, and dancing. A style that looks perfect at 10am and has collapsed by the reception hasn't done its job.
That's why the trial matters, and why it's included rather than charged separately. We build the look around the actual dress neckline, where the veil or comb sits, whether the venue is outdoors and windy, and how your hair behaves in humidity. We photograph the finished trial from every angle — what reads beautifully in the mirror can look quite different in a camera flash, and it's much better to discover that six weeks out than on the day.
On the morning itself we work to a schedule agreed in advance and build in buffer time, because bridal mornings run late and the hair should never be the reason. Bridesmaids, mothers, and anyone else in the party can be booked alongside you — tell us the numbers early so we can allocate stylists properly.

- Book the trial 6–8 weeks before the wedding, after your final color appointment.
- Come to the trial with clean, dry hair — day-old hair holds an updo better on the day itself.
- Bring the veil and any hairpieces to the trial; they change the placement completely.

Yes — one full trial session is included. It's the part of the service that makes the day itself predictable, so we don't treat it as an optional extra.
Six to eight weeks before the wedding, and after your final color appointment so the trial is done on the hair you'll actually have. Book the date itself as far ahead as you can — Saturdays in peak season fill up a year out.
Yes. Tell us the numbers when you book so we can allocate enough stylists and build a realistic morning schedule. Bridesmaid styling is charged per person.
On-location styling can be arranged for weddings within a reasonable distance, charged with a travel supplement. Ask at your consultation and we'll quote it properly rather than guessing.
That's the whole design brief. We structure and secure the style for twelve-hour wear including a veil change, and leave you with a small kit of matching pins and spray for reassurance.
